Moving Forward. Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie? Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend? Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping? Today's message is how to move forward. Isn't easy to get rid of something said about you when you know it's wrong? What do you do when it's not? Paul did that. He was bad. He was a murderer. He held the coats of men who stoned a man to death. He was a christian killer,. He denied Jesus, Three times! Three times! He then was stoned. He was beaten. He was abused. He was forgiven. So was I. So were you. He, my Jesus saved me and bore my griefs and carries my sorrows. I am healed.... You can be He was crucified for my sins, whatever I sowed in sin in my past and whatever I will in the future, He reaped for me. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. AMEN? AMEN! I don't care about what I did in the past because they are former things and by me asking the Lord to reveal them to me and asking His forgivness that they are in the past forever not to be brought up again. If a man be in Christ, he is a new creature in Christ. The old has past away forever. When you go through something that someone has said about you, you feel like you have done something wrong even when you know you did not. Some of us don't deal with things and when someone says something about what we have done and they are right, how do we handle it. "The rain falls on the just and unjust" The attacks hit us everyday The only difference is that if you want, you won't be alone anymore. We may be walking in the wrong direction. We may need to heal one thing in our lives, a bad temper, smoking, pornography, degrading other people, not finishing what the Lord has commanded us to do. Job went through many things. People in the book of Job told him about him. 1:22, 2:10 We need to be like Job and fight the good fight with faith, When attacks come at you say, "not by my self" Look at someone and say," Not by myself." If you are going to move forward, you must talk back to the devil. I say things like, "I don't believe the past." I don't beleive the mistakes." God never takes you to lose. God puts a desire in your heart. Hannah 1 Sam. 1:27 2:1-2 Is the Lord talking to somebody right now? You need to overcome waiting for things for you before you do something, you need to ask God what He wants and do it. Samuel learned about talking to God and so should you. I need a witrness. Talking to God will change your situation The one thing the devil doesn't want you to do is talk to God. He likes it when you cry and complain. he gets scared when you get down on your knees and Pray. Touch someone and say, " Pray, Pray, pray" When people get on their knees and pray they will overcome the devils wicked ways. They will grow strong in the Lord! In Him Go to God and Pray and He will heal you and your needs. God never made it for you to lose. Touch your head and then touch your toes. God can heal your body. Do you beleive? God can heal your mind God and heal your attitude God can heal your hope God can heal your family Praise Him Ask Him for things. Go for it. Help my attitude, help my mood, heal my finances, heal my relationships, heal my family Renew me. heal your relationships I bind the power of the enemy My God and your God, the one who loves you as you are has the power to stop the enemies attacks. Have you forgotten to ask If you are in need learn to put on the full armor of God and overcome the enemy Ephesians 6:11 Have faith like and He will help you through Don't try to just go through life looking satisfied if you are'nt Don't know where to go or what to do with your life Ask Him Where do you want me to go? What do you want me to do? How can I serve you? Your relationship with God will grow when you realize how Awesome He is. Sing with Me. Our God is an awesome God He reigns from heaven above. With wisdom, power, and Love Our God is an awesome God. Open your bible to Matthew 16:18-19 YOU must make changes. Several of you are spending time with Him now being just alone with Him. Not reading, not praying, just sitting and listening to Him. And being blessed. Others of you are not because you don't want to give up the comfort that you get by being comfortable doing the wrong thing to your body. If you want to overcome that addiction that you have, you are not going to grow in life until you do. Be on the rock. Read those two verses again to yourself, in quiet. There is something wrong if the gates of hell are winning in your life. If you want to move forward, you need to get rid of this thing that' s holding you back. He is challenging you right now to do some thing about that thing. You need to overcome it. The thing that is holding you back from growing. Some of us come to church like is going to a hospital emergency room. The church hospital is used on sundays to help us recover from the week we have had. Say "Rock' Read with me Matthew 24:3-13 Remember this, the devil is already sure of defeat. Say this out loud with me and with meaning. Devil, leave me alone Get out of my life leave my family and my loved ones alone Lord, I Love you Teach me, show me, allow me to grow in you Give me confidence that even though I may go through trials, It is part of your great plan. Now say this and mean it. I am victorious in you and because of you Lord. Thank You Jesus Amen The movie, "The Passion of the Christ", showed me this over and over. We are not to come to church and be renewed for the week. We are to grow and come to church to grow in our faith and learn how to combat the devil's schemes. He died on the cross for that. We need to be energized. we don't need to stand and wing. we need to stand and worship Him. God already has you if you have committed your life to Him. You need to step forward with a different attitude. When you see the bad things that happen each day you can dwell on them or agitate the devil and praise the Lord for all the ghood things that happened that day. Joel 2:2 and 1:13 say; Do you want to stay where you are? Do you? God has given you the authority to move forward. Everything that you have trusted in your life is being shaken everyday , but as the disciples trusted Jesus and took steps forward after His return to do His call. We must trust him also for now and the future. Stand up and thank him for what he has done for you up to now and what He is going to do in your future. If you cannot do that but you want to and you need to give Him your life completely come forward right now and let us pray together for your true rebirth in Him from this moment forward. As we are gathering for prayer say this out loud; Say, Victory, Victory, Victory Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him! Our God is an awesome God! let us all prayer together for renewal, revival, and those that are giving their lives over to Him right now.
