To that end, one of the important objectives of PSN’s reentry strategy is to provide organizations working with inmates, formerly incarcerated people, and their families with a resource directory in support of successful reentry and enhanced public safety. The first edition of the Miami-Dade Reentry Resource Guide, published in 2008, was utilized by an estimated 20,000+ individuals and based on its success we have published this 2010 guide. Special appreciation goes out to the members of the Miami-Dade Reentry Task Force for their assistance in identifying relevant listings and proofreading - without their participation this project would not be possible. We would also like to express our appreciation to PSN’s fiscal agent, the Miami Coalition for a Safe and Drug-Free Community and our program manager Naydine Fulton-Jones at the U.S. Department of Justice/ Bureau of Justice Assistance in Washington, D.C. An extra special appreciation goes to the Florida Department of Corrections/Region IV under the leadership of Director Marta Villacorta and the Broward Correctional Institution’s team including Warden Jennifer Folsom, Assistant Warden Norman Jenkins, Instructor William Amos, Volunteer Liliane Rique, and the extraordinary inmates in the Commercial Art Technology Program who designed the cover for the 2010 Miami-Dade Reentry Resource Guide. We welcome your advice and feedback on the guide so that the next edition can be even more effective. Furthermore, we invite you to participate in our ongoing efforts to improve the lives of formerly incarcerated people by joining the Miami-Dade Reentry Task Force, a dynamic group of 70+ individuals and organizations working tirelessly to improve public safety. You can make a difference in our community! To become a member of the Miami-Dade Reentry Task Force, receive additional copies of the 2010 Miami-Dade Reentry Resource Guide, or to receive regular reentry updates, please send me your contact information – my e-mail address is wayne@waynerawlins.com.
